The exhibition entitled “Ramadan, Heritage of the Muslims” will be showcasing traditions, rituals and special cuisines served during Ramadan, Managing Director of Milad Tower Rahim Motahharnejad said here on Tuesday.
Several pavilions are dedicated to the countries displaying varieties of their foods served during iftar (the evening meal for breaking the fast during Ramadan) and sahari (the meal eaten before dawn), as well as the costumes and hijab of the Muslim countries, he added.
He also said that wives of the ambassadors of Islamic countries including Palestine, Lebanon, Turkey, Bangladesh, and Pakistan are expected to attend the program that will run until August 15.
Quran recitation, performances of traditional music and ritual plays, and daily contests have also been arranged on the side section.
